How we handle information across this website and our works.
This translation is provided for reference. The Japanese version governs if interpretations differ.
01Information we may process
We may process access time, IP address, browser, device, operating system, referrer and usage events. If you contact us, we also receive the selected work and category, your message, an optional email address, source URL and technical browser information.
We no longer accept new direct card payments on our site. We may retain transaction identifiers, payment time, amount and status from past direct payments where necessary for refunds, enquiries, accounting or legal obligations. If we use an external service for voluntary support, we may receive only the information that service provides for support and settlement management.
02Why we use it
We use information to provide, maintain and improve our services; understand aggregate usage; prevent abuse; resolve faults; and respond to enquiries.
Historical payment records are used only where necessary for refunds, enquiries, accounting and legal compliance. Information received from an external support provider is used to administer voluntary support and settlement.
03Analytics, cookies and consent
We use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 with Advanced Consent Mode. In the EEA, United Kingdom and Switzerland, analytics storage starts denied until you make a choice. In other regions, if no prior choice is saved, analytics storage may start enabled. Choosing Necessary only disables analytics cookie storage in every region.
When analytics_storage is denied, Google tags do not read or write Analytics cookies, but may send cookieless measurement pings for measurement and modelling. We do not send enquiry text or free-form content entered inside our works to Google Analytics.
For voluntary support, we may measure non-identifying events such as viewing a support page or opening an external support link. We do not send card numbers, security codes or other payment credentials to Google Analytics.
04Data stored by individual works
Some works store settings, progress, notes or photos in your browser. Some record-based works use an anonymous identifier to store data on a server, and some may keep private image files in object storage. Storage, transfer and deletion options differ by work and are explained on its page or in the app.
Location searches may send a search term or derived destination coordinates through our server to OpenStreetMap Nominatim. Opening an external map link may send origin and destination information to that map provider.
05Advertising
We may use third-party advertising such as Google AdSense. Advertising storage remains disabled in the current consent layer. Before serving ads in the EEA, United Kingdom or Switzerland, we will use a Google-certified consent management platform where required.
06Service providers and voluntary support
Cloudflare processes requests and provides delivery, security, database, object storage and Turnstile verification. Google may process analytics requests as described above. External links such as X and LINE STORE are governed by those services’ policies.
If we use an external service for voluntary support, payment and supporter information entered there is processed under that provider’s terms and privacy policy. We may receive information needed to administer support or settlement, but the studio does not use support to unlock paid features or rewards.
07Security, requests and changes
We take reasonable measures to protect information. You may contact us to request access, correction, restriction or deletion where applicable. We may update this policy as services or legal requirements change.
